Thank you for visiting our web site. As per NYC Local Law 26 and the Rules of the City of New York (RCNY), on April 6, 2006, every Fire Safety Director assigned to a Group "B" office building in N.Y. City became that building's Emergency Action Plan/Fire Safety Director. As such the EAP/FSD is required to take a 7-hour EAP Director training course and eventually, an "on-site" exam. Deputy FSD's are also required to take the 7-hour EAP Director course. Building Evacuation Supervisors and Brigade members must also attend a certain amount of training. In addition, Educational Material must be created and distributed to building tenants. We invite you to attend our EAP Director training classes. We've been based at Pace University since 1994. Our instructors are 100% NYPD and FDNY members. We have a downtown Manhattan location, a midtown Manhattan location, and a Brooklyn location. Directions to each location appear below. Let's very briefly summarize what the FSD and Deputy FSD must do:
To see the Minimum Qualification Requirements, Certification Process, Application Procedures, Test Information, etc. you must read the Official Notice of Examination for the new Title F-59. The FDNY published an Updated Notice of Exam on August 3, 2011. Click here to read it. To see our Class Schedule please click on "Training Schedule". The cost is $120.00. I strongly recommend that you begin studying the material before you come to class. You do this by reading the source material used to create the course. The FD has granted us permission to display this information. Click here for the source material page - I suggest you read/study the Local Law 26 material first (1. Rule 6-02).
